macOS doesn't let ordinary apps read the details of system processes such as WindowServer, kernel_task or mds. Without help, Warashi shows them as “system processes not included”.
The optional helper
Turn on Show system processes in Settings › System. Warashi installs a small helper that runs in the background with the rights to read process counters, and macOS asks you to approve it under System Settings › General › Login Items › Allow in the Background.
- It can only read process counters (CPU time, memory, disk, energy).
- It takes no commands, no paths and no arguments, and only answers Warashi (both sides check each other's code signature).
- Turn the switch off to remove it.
